"Discover How To Fly-Fish With My Fully Illustrated eBook. You'll See It's Easier Than You Think!"
Learning to fly-fish will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.
Not only will you have a brand new hobby which will let you visit some of the most scenic places in the world, get plenty of fresh air and sunshine, and make new friends, but you'll be proud to know that the delicious fresh trout for dinner was caught with your own two hands (and a rod!). Also, learning fly-fishing is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable pastimes there are.
Unfortunately, learning to fly-fish can be an expensive experience. Paying for books, or professional fly-fishing guides can quickly add up to hundreds of dollars, and is no guarantee that you will master even the basics.
Fortunately for you, as an avid fly-fisher for over 20 years, I've made it a personal goal to teach the skills that will introduce you to this wonderful activity, and to keep the price of doing so as low as possible. I've created an easy to follow 3 part guide that will help bring you to the level of an intermediate fly-fisher, even if you have never done fishing of any kind before.
Here's what you'll learn in Part One (41 pages):
• Find out exactly which fly-fishing equipment I recommend for you to use. See which rods, reels, line (plus backing) and trace I recommend. If you are unfamiliar with any of these, don't worry!
• Find out why choosing a rod's length, weight, and action is so important, and the difference between floating, sinking, and sink-tip lines. You'll also learn how to take advantage of weight forward, double taper and shooting forward line configurations.
• Discover how to properly use a trace/leader, tapered trace and tippet.
• A quick introduction to flies (Part Three contains everything you'll need to know in detail).
• How to get rigged up. This is one of the most important sections - I break the complex process into simple steps, with easy-to-follow illustrations along the way.
• Find out about different types of fish you'll be able to catch, once you master the skills I teach.
The basics of getting rigged up are broken down into easy steps.
Here's what you'll learn in Part Two (46 pages):
• Learn exactly which other pieces of fly-fishing equipment are essential to your success. Learn the twelve items that I consider extremely important.
• Find out the basics of casting a fly. Simple diagrams and 18 videos break casting down to
the very basics. Learn about false casting, the one o'clock rule, and the single most important piece of advice you'll probably ever receive about fly-fishing.
• How to read the water to know exactly where the trout are and where
you should be focussing your efforts. Find out about the four places that trout are most often found in rivers (pools, riffles, pocket water, and grassy banks) and where you should cast into lakes.
• Learn the five essential rules for stalking trout. Find out how you should behave, what you need to look for when spotting a trout (rivers and lakes are very different), and what you definitely should not do.
Simple, easy-to-follow illustrations help to explain the important concepts.
Here's what you'll learn in Part Three (36 pages):
• Find out which dry flies are in my top ten, and which nymphs are in my top five. The best flies to use in your area may well be different (always talk to a local!), but these will provide you with a good start.
• Learn when you should use a dry fly, nymph, wet fly, emerger, or feathered lure and the essential DO’s and DON’Ts for each of these fly types. I go into detail with tactics for each of these fly types.
• Learn the other two important fly-fishing knots – the double blood knot and the uni-knot, and find out when to use them.
• How to use two flies at the same time, and why you would want to do this. This technique is used more often than you may think.
• How and when to roll cast, how to cast heavy nymphs, how to cast into the wind, and the double haul.
• Exactly how you should strike, play, and land a trout. This section is one of the most important you will read and lets you know what to do after the fish has taken your fly.
